Some key observations
- Strings are tuned in perfect fourths except guitar string B and G having a major third.
- One extra string gives about a third of an octave extra in frequency range.
- A guitar has at least three full octaves in any key, with some noticable redundancy.
- The fundamental frequency range is about 20 to 1200 Hz including bass bottom end.
- A bass is typically tuned one octave lower than a guitar in standard tuning.
- For each octave from bottom to top, the frequency is doubled.
